R744.com publishing article series on refrigeration industry

R744.com have kicked off a feature article series on their website, detailing what’s ahead for the refrigeration industry this year.

R744.com state in their first feature article that the NEXT Series will focus on “looking ahead the next twelve months.”

Two articles have already been published–the first article focuses on expectations for the natural refrigerant industry this year and the second article focuses on policy changes around the world that will shape the refrigeration industry this year.

The first article provides details on natural refrigerants becoming popular due to the December COP21 deal making it clear that viable alternatives to high GWP substances must be sought, developments in the market for ammonia, challenges for natural refrigerants to overcome and training for technicians to be able to handle natural refrigerants. The second article provides details on policy changes around the world, specifically in the United States, Europe and Australia, that will shape the refrigeration industry this year. The article states that discussions and meetings on the Montreal Protocol will take centre stage and that discussions on an agreement on reducing HFC emissions in developed and developing countries is still to take place.

The second article also provides details on the United States’ SNAP programme and the work they have planned, as well as emphasising the affect that the impending presidential elections will have on the United States’ climate change policies. The article also provides details on crucial legislative dossiers focusing on energy efficiency up for review and the Eco-design Regulation for commercial refrigeration in Europe. Details of Australia’s Options Review Paper have also been provided in the article, including the fact that the final recommendations report is due for publication in April.
