Yesterday, Business.gov.au published an article about jobactive, a government recruitment service that provide a shortlist of pre-screened job candidates to employers. jobactive’s services also include: creating tailored job descriptions and providing support after an employee has been hired.

Last month, Business.gov.au published an article focusing on the differences between employees and contractors. Such differences include: employees given ongoing hours, paid superannuation, entitled wages and benefits whereas contractors negotiate how much they are paid for the work, carry the risk of making a profit or loss and invoice their work when it’s completed. The article also emphasises what can happen if there is a disagreement on whether a worker is an employee or contractor.
