The Lung Foundation Australia encourages individuals to check in with their lung health and attend Shine a Light on Lung Cancer awareness events, which are being held in Townsville, Lake Haven, Melbourne, Canberra and Perth. There are also patient seminars for patients and carers living with lung disease in Mandurah, Port Macquarie and Goondiwindi.
International Lung Cancer Awareness Day is on Monday November 17 and World COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Day is on Wednesday November 19. These international awareness days will be followed by Asbesto Awareness Week from Monday November 24 to Friday November 28.
