This week is NSW Fair Trading Week.
NSW Fair Trading Week commenced yesterday and concludes on Friday, with the aim of raising awareness about consumer and trader issues. This year’s theme is “Fair Market, Fair Go” which highlights Fair Trading’s role in creating a fair marketplace for all consumers and traders. Within this theme, there is a specific focus on local businesses, the rental market and the contribution of licensed traders in the fair home building market.
NSW Fair Trading staff are holding events across the state this week, which include but are not limited to: product safety information sessions, trader education visits, scams information seminars and tenancy information seminars in Sydney. There are also regional events in the Hunter Region, Northern NSW, Western NSW and Southern NSW. These regional events range in location from Port Macquarie to Taree to Tamworth to Dubbo to Orange to Kiama and Wagga Wagga.
The full list of events can be found here. More information about NSW Fair Trading Week can be found here.
