The 2014 Asia-Pacific Solar Research Conference commences today.
The 2014 Asia-Pacific Solar Research Conference, which is being held at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), provides the opportunity for solar researchers and solar research students to present their work, learn about other research in the region and network with other researchers.
The Conference will focus on seven key areas–photovoltaics, energy policy, dye-sensitised and organic solar cells, solar thermal energy, solar heating and cooling, low carbon buildings and cities and communities. The Conference also includes an ARENA Industry/Researchers Panel Discussion on Wednesday morning.
There will be six keynote speakers from around the world in attendance–Professor Nam-Gyu Park, Hans Josef Fell, Doug McClenahan, Anders Hagfeldt, Martin Green and Ulrike Jahn.
Professor Nam-Gyu Park is a professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and adjunct professor at the Department of Energy Sciences at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul.
Hans Josef Fell is the President of Energy Watch Group (EWG) and a former member of the German Parliament.
Doug McClenahan is the R&D Program Manager at Natural Resources Canada and a former Chair of the International Energy’s Solar Heating and Cooling Program.
Anders Hagfeldt is a professor in physical chemistry at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland.
Martin Green is a Scientia Professor at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Director of the Australian National Energy Agency (ARENA) and Ulrike Jahn is the Project Manager of Task 13 of the PVPS Programmer of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The Conference also includes a dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour tomorrow night and will conclude on Wednesday 10 December.
