AIRAH’s WA division will be holding a seminar on Humid Climate Design next week.
According to their website, AIRAH have been working on updating/upgrading their DA20 Design Guide for ‘Air Conditioning, cooling and comfort in hot humid tropical climates‘ over the last year-and-a-half, which has resulted in “a substantially upgraded document providing guidance for designers of buildings in humid climates.”
Glen Tatam from ACMV Design Consultants and George Strohmeier from Carel will be giving presentations. Tatam’s presentation will focus on key aspects of the DA20, and Strohmeier’s presentation will focus on a practical overview of adiabatic humidifers and their application as evaporative coolers.
The seminar is being held on Tuesday 21 March at the State Library of Western Australia, RSVPs are due on Monday 20 March.
