The Calculating Cool, Australia’s first HVAC rating tool has been launched.
The Calculating Cool ranks HVAC systems during design, installation and operation and allows the measurement of HVAC system efficiency.
According to The Calculating Cool’s official website, HVAC systems account for the majority of energy consumption in commercial office buildings. The Calculating Cool is the first standard rating tool to measure as well as benchmark the performance of HVAC systems in Australia.
The Calculating Cool was developed in collaboration with major Australian building, construction and HVAC/R industry bodies alongside AIRAH–The Property Council of Australia (PCA), the Facilities Management Association of Australia (FMAA) and the Air-conditioning and Mechanical Contractors’ Association (AMCA).
The online tool is free to use for building owners and operators, HVAC industry professionals, facility managers and stakeholders. More information and The Calculating Cool itself can be found here.
