ARBS 2018 kicked off and opened its doors for the first time in Sydney since 2010, on Tuesday May 8 to an eventual total of 3,191 visitors.
RACCA Australia President, Kevin O’Shea, and RACCA Australia Administration Assistant, Rachel Loveday, were in attendance catching up with industry colleagues and spreading the benefits that is RACCA membership to visitors.
Several product presentations took place on day one:

- Enthalpy Condensing Units for Energy Efficiency (Airefrig Australia)
- Fans of the Future: Efficient and Smart (ebm-papst A&NZ)
- The Added Value of the Third Party Certification (Eurovent Certita Certification)
- Chillers (Veolia Energy Technical Services/Trane)
- Delivering IoT Solutions from Edge to Cloud (Conserve It Pty Ltd)
According to the ARBS website, the Testo presentation emphasised the benefits of preventative HVAC maintenance with tools, such as their Testo 440 IAQ. The Renewable Technologies presentation focused on solar PV-systems. The Airefrig Australia presentation focused on the benefits of Enthalpy Condensing Units, such as their compatibility with low GWP refrigerants. The ebm-papst A&NZ presentation provided an overview on how to increase efficiency on their new air conditioning systems using fans and their integration into BMS using digitisation. The Eurovent Certita Certification presentation focused on the benefits of third party certification, such as building up customer confidence and levelling the playing field for all manufacturers. Veolia Energy Technical Services’ presentation focused on their replicate natural systems to solve man-made problems and the fact that they are a licensed and authorised distributor of Trane equipment and building energy management systems, and Conserve It’s presentation focused on their Edge IoT controllers.
