The Office of Environment & Heritage will be holding Energy Efficient HVAC for Business courses over the next few months.
According to the Office of Environment & Heritage’s website, the courses are designed to provide a structured approach to achieving energy efficient HVAC for buildings.
The training consists of two separate courses that are on both sides of the professional spectrum–Introduction to energy efficient HVAC and Advanced HVAC–optimisation, operation and maintenance strategies. The courses are separate so individual businesses can choose what course is most suitable for them.
The website states that those who attend the Introduction to energy efficient HVAC course will learn how to: understand HVAC components & energy efficiency measures, recognise typical HVAC equipment upgrade & replacement opportunities, understand the drivers & barriers behind operating energy efficient HVAC systems, consider opportunities to improve HVAC systems, understand best practice operation & maintenance and build business cases for energy efficiency improvements.
Those who attend the Advanced HVAC course will learn about several different types of HVAC optimisation strategies, as well as best practice operation and maintenance regimes, energy management training and stakeholder engagement.
A one-on-one on site visit is also on offer which will involve a site inspection, a discussion session to identify energy efficient upgrade opportunities and post-training support opportunities. This offer is only available to those who have attended at least one of the training modules. Post-training support is also on offer. This support provides businesses access to $3,000 worth of support for $300. This support involves implementing energy efficiency opportunities previously identified through the training modules and one-on-one site visit.
The Introduction to energy efficient HVAC course is being held next Wednesday (Feb 24), as well as on May 4 and June 7 in Sydney. The Advanced HVAC course is being held next Thursday (Feb 25) and on May 5.
The Office of Environment & Heritage also held this course last year, however there have been alterations to this course for this year.
