Fujitsu General are supporting a new generation of mechanical engineering students with the launch of its intern program this month.
Designed to provide students with a unique opportunity for on-the-job learning in the HVAC industry, this Fujitsu Commercial Academy initiative is the latest addition to the important employee training and development program Fujitsu has put in place within the last 12 months.
Fujitsu General’s National Human Resources Manager, Sarah Gatehouse, stated that Fujitsu General were “excited to launch the intern program to assist the next generation of mechanical engineers”, and emphasised the importance of the program both for student development and the HVAC industry.
“Acquired applied learning is an essential part of student development and not widely offered within the air conditioning industry. The program is an exciting step in Fujitsu General’s move to become an employer of choice and a centre of excellence through extensive training and development.”
“It (the program) has the potential for Fujitsu to tap into emerging talent during the early stages of a students’ career, helping to build a healthy future for the company, as well as the industry.”
The intern program will initially be located at Fujitsu’s Eastern Creek head office, with the potential for expansion across the business. Interns will receive practical learning and training, as they work closely with the local state team.
The internship lasts for up to three months and upon completion, the student will receive a statement of completion and can choose to return to study or embark on their career path.
