The Conference Committee for AIRAH’s Future of HVAC 2015 Conference are calling for abstracts.
The Future of HVAC 2015 Conference is being held in Melbourne from August 18-19. This year’s Conference will explore industry research, state-of-the-art technology, education and future design conditions.
AIRAH Board Member and Conference Committee Chair, Ian Harwood stated that the Conference Committee are “seeking speakers from outside our field to give a foreign perspective on where we are heading as an industry.”
Harwood also stated that critical issues such as modelling and sustainability, the future of refrigerants, cutting edge technologies and novel thoughts and ideas need to be addressed.
Speakers will have the choice of participating in either a full-length presentation or a “short burst”session of three-to-five minutes.
The Conference Committee are calling for 200-300 word abstracts and 100–200 word abstracts for full-length presentations and short burst sessions respectively. The Committee are calling for abstracts to cover the session themes which include: state-of-the-art HVAC&R practice, the HVAC&R industry in 20 years’ time, novel applications of HVAC&R, education and engagement, research and future design conditions. Speakers who choose to participate in the short burst sessions are not required to submit a technical paper. Non-AIRAH members who wish to speak will be required to pay a speaker fee.
The deadline for abstract submissions is April 16, all submissions must include a 100-word author biography and a high-resolution author photo.
