According to a report by Climate Control News, Australia’s first swap-and-go system for refrigerants is currently being rolled out to Mitre 10 stores throughout Melbourne.
The ReadyGas swap-and-go system will work by full bottles of gas being sold with no cylinder rental, cleaning or other hidden costs.
The ReadyGas products under the system which currently include R134A, R404A, R407C and R410A, will only be available to ARCTick Licence holders and sold and distributed by Mitre 10. More refrigerants will become available over time.
The ReadyGas swap-and-go system is expected to be fully operational throughout Victoria by the end of the year, with NSW and Queensland to follow next year, with other states and territories to follow in 2017 to make it a national swap-and-go network.
