The Sustainable Innovation in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat (SIRACH) will be hosting a networking event in Leicester next month, to explore heating and cooling in commercial applications.
The event, on Wednesday 22 October at the Abbey Pumping Station, will be a combination of presentations, networking and a tour of an innovative supermarket. Professor Graeme Maidment, the president of the Institute of Refrigeration will provide an introduction of the day and of SIRACH to attendees, which will lead into the morning presentations and networking.
The morning presentations will discuss and explore supermarket trends and future innovations and changes, The Dearman Engine and understanding sustainable food shopping. SIRACH networking will follow the morning presentations.
The afternoon will consist of another presentation on refrigeration heat recovery, following with a tour of the facilities at Sainbury’s supermarket at Leicester North. Professor Graeme Maidment will mirror his morning duties and officially close the event at approximately 4pm.
