Blue collar trades in Australia are facing dire circumstance – insufficient apprentice numbers could spell the final nail in the coffin for the ongoing national skills shortage.

The 2018-19 annual report released by the Department of Education has exposed the Australian government for under-spending almost $1 billion of their budgeted $5.27 billion.

The opposition has condemned the Australian government for neglecting TAFE institutions by not investing enough into vocational programs and training initiatives.
