Nominations open for AMCA’s and AREMA’s scholarship program

Learn Story

Back in December, RACCA Australia published an article on AMCA and AREMA launching a scholarship program, in conjunction with ARBS, for refrigeration and air conditioning tradespeople.

Now nominations have opened for the scholarship program.

The ARBS Foundation Educational Trade Scholarship was established following a review of industry skills requirements. According to a report by Climate Control News, the Scholarship aims to: increase the quality of trained tradespeople in the ARBS stakeholder industries, support students who have demonstrated an aptitude to successfully complete their trade training, support a positive attitude and application in the workplace and in off-the-job training and support the professional development of teachers.

Climate Control News’ report also states that the Scholarship will provide $6,000 towards a two-week residential course at the Refrigeration and Climate Control Centre of Excellence (RCCC) in June-July and September and will be awarded to five students, as well as five trade teachers (who will accompany their student) from all over the country. Teachers are included due to the Scholarship’s emphasis on their professional development, as well as the student’s.

Nominations close on April 29 with the winners being announced at the ARBS Dinner on May 18.
